dkelvin At least an aventurous album in the vein of the great experimental journeys from the late sixties. Not everything may fit (y)our tastes but there are enough gems to worth the acquisition. And Incinerate should have been a massive hit Favorite track: Incinerate.

Gavin Hellyer A very unique album indeed. Pretty much everything you would, and wouldn't expect, highly individualistic sounds specific to this particular group, variety galore and layer upon layer of strangeness and eccentricity. For a while I've been curious about Tunabunny without investigating too deeply. I have now. Favorite track: Incinerate.

I am me How do I know you’re you? There’s someone inside my head Looking at someone inside my head

Incinerate 02:42
Oh no I’m going out of my mind Everything in its own due time I’ve got ten fingers and ten toes Drop a match and there she blows I said, can’t stand living in this state I’ve got to, ah, ah, incinerate Oh no I’m going out of my mind Everything in its own due time Baby baby, red, orange, and black A rush of heat knocks me on my back I said, can’t stand living in this state I’ve got to, ah, ah, incinerate Tibetan monk on a big brass plate Decides it’s time to elevate Oh no I’m going out of my mind Everything in its own due time When you see me on the street My liberation comes through the heat I said, can’t stand living in this state I’ve got to, ah, ah, incinerate TIbetan monk on a big brass plate Decides it’s time to elevate Like a passive flame keeps burning on Like a passive flame falling in my arms

Contradictory to common thought, that’s not how we operate around here We’ve reached a stalemate, my friend I guess this noise problem will never end Gotta give respect to get it, you say Well afford me, afford me, the same We’ve reached a stalemate, my friend I guess this noise problem will never end You may not be informed, you may not be informed But we will inform you Love your neighbors, love you neighbors Gotta give respect to get it (x3) Fabricate the meaning Never listen to the people on the ground Fabricate the meaning
4.
I get up, go for a walk See my friend, give her a call She wants to know what’s on my mind Nothing but this humankind It could be something that I said But if I started something I would’ve finished it See you walk down my street Catch a glimpse, look at your feet Stuck your head in a mailbox Pretend I’m not there Funny how you’re so easy to scare (CHORUS) It don’t mean nothing just cause you think it did It don’t mean nothing, and it never did She wants to know what’s on my mind Nothing but this humankind (CHORUS)
5.
I don’t have the policy, but I put the pressure on Do you feel it now, the pressure? I can shape dialogue, even though it never was meant to be Hurry up and get it out before they sell it back to us Do you seek consequence? Careful what you do and say For some it’s a police state Seek consequence
6.
Can’t seem to focus on such futuristic things My lips start shaking around strangers Dear Hannah keeps her hair so nicely braided Our thoughts contiguous in nature Ah ah ah Ah ah ah Blackwater homes (x 3) Quadrophonic fills and atmospheric stills I don’t know why my outlook’s fainter Isn’t her soul just like a mother makes? She tried to stay away from danger Ah ah ah Ah ah ah Blackwater homes (x 3) Eyes like twin stars, occupied I will tell you why She would carelessly plunge you It was before your time Blackwater homes (x3)
7.
Oracle 02:44
In the moments when lightning lingers longer I swear I can see lifeforms floating in its clouds like hot air balloons I think they’re building canals, or sending telemetric transmissions to the oracle of redundant radio systems I’m hoping they won’t reveal their disease prediction models Because I’m in no hurry To find out what I’ve got
8.
Start It 01:15
Start it now, start it right now If you don’t start it now you’ll never Start it now, start it right now If you don’t start it now whatever
9.
Are you listening to me? Are you listening to me? We would never listen to people like you Three little letters carry so much authority I don’t think that’s the point of democracy Whatever that means I have a couple of degrees That should tell me Are you listening to me? Are you watching me? Like I’m watching you? There are no bars on the doors But we never move Because the more friends that I have the less free I feel Do you know what I mean? Do you know what I mean? The tendency to interject In order to facilitate the conversation Becoming more comfortable with silences by the end Are you listening to me? Are you listening to me?
10.
At the epicenter of the epitaph Describes the neverending aftermath Of a time to stop and a time to begin And I would help you out if I could do anything Because I never mind (It doesn’t matter at all) I never mind it, oh, no, no At the intersection of our interests I have a tendency to interject There’s a time to stop and a time to rest And I would shut you down if I could do anything (CHORUS) Exegesis on the exit ramp I think of death and internment camps There’s a time to stop and a time to think And I would fix it all if I could do anything (CHORUS) Anywhere is better than here Anywhere is better than here
11.
Dog of dogs on a wheat sheep Oil seed on a wheat sheep Rain pig on a scream bean Yellow heart is my sky sign Stranger gave Robin a crack on the crown at every stroke He made him to smoke, salt, serious I don’t do crosswords, I don’t play checkers Yellow heart is my sky sign Fire, the choleric The self-hallucinatory diamond spirit
12.
And on one hand, but not the other Logic defies one from another The making of winter’s mind, its ordinate design Cardinal vibrations Absolve the night Converging on one pathway Your galaxy’s unbecoming
13.
I don’t think you know the way the world works I don’t think you know what’s going on It’s alright, I’m midflight Gift of second sight Tells me why I hate to fly You believe in cause and effect See a pattern and making it law Hand it down to us So certain you know what’s best (CHORUS) You cling to a victim status Justify your apparatus Lament your existence in pop culture Fail to see the real torture (CHORUS)

You are an actress playing a dead girl Fingers like bashful spiders curled around a styrofoam cigarette The line between truth and artifice In what we’re doing, is there any difference? Telephone lines connect innocent minds It’s nighttime now for the stars And daytime for the rest of us Meet me at the studio We don’t have to tell them all the things that we don’t know I used the flower bulbs for divination I took your lack of interest as an invitation (CHORUS) They spend all of their time worrying about being authentic We spend all of our time trying so hard not to care
18.
Me And Nancy 03:39
I have a friend, she is my best friend Nobody knows her as well as me Me and Nancy read The S.C.U.M. Manifesto We’re going to the store, gonna buy it all When I come home, I come home to you But when I go out, it’s with Nancy Why you gotta know where I go? Why you gotta know every day?

about

A 75-minute double-vinyl masterpiece, PCP Presents Alice In Wonderland Jr, the fifth album from Athens, Georgia’s Tunabunny, is the most creatively ambitious album in this most creatively ambitious band’s history. Featuring singles like ‘Incinerate,’ ‘The Rest of Us,’ and ‘Nevermind the Cobblestones,’ the band takes their experimental rock into a place that is both stranger and more accessible than anything they’ve done before. It’s ferocious, passionate, smart. political, desperate, feminist, and alive. Every song is important; every song goes someplace the others don’t. There are no accidents; there is no filler.

PCPPAIWJR creates a universe of sound, music for the internet age. As our access to music expands, its entire history sits at our fingertips just waiting to be heard. Just waiting to inspire, this is the future of music—a glorious eclecticism that results in something original and urgently now. You can hear echoes of T Rex, Slits, Electrelane, Chills, Human League, John Cage, John Cale, GBV, Beefheart, Ono, Eno, Fine Young Cannibals, Fleetwood Mac, Luc Ferrari, Bananarama, ? and the Mysterians, Smiths, Syd Barrett, Sun Ra, and on, and on.

You’ll want to know about the title, you’ll have questions about the title. Turn on your TV, open up your laptop, sift through your phone, pay attention to the surreal dystopian nightmare all around us. PCP Presents Alice In Wonderland Jr is quite simply what it means to be alive in 2017.

about

Tunabunny Athens, Georgia

Tunabunny is the missing surname of Madonna, the forgotten first name of Morrissey, and the middle name that Sun Ra’s parents forgot to give him. We are pretty certain that the “T” in T. Rex stood for Tunabunny.

1st two albums will be up on here shortly. And our new Double LP 'PCP Presents Alice In Wonderland Jr' will be out early 2017!
