Slackjawed 02:58
She said I dream about you all the time but the daylight reveals words you don't want me to say but I'm gonna say them anyway because they crowd my brain like breath they crowd my eye I try to surprise myself but I only get rundown traffic lights blink like the eyes of your slackjawed sibling it won't tear me apart he plays rhythms of indiscriminate gender it won't tear me apart
5.
I was watching the sky and you know we all saw the same thing the cracks began to appear and there was gasoline in my bathtub there was something in the water and the clicking of the keyboards and an orchestra of hums were the only sounds I heard when the words they would not come I was watching the sky and there were airplanes flying in echelon in some parts of the world girls like us they get locked up
6.
Form A Line 03:57
You say there's no way it could lie when the light from the sun forms a line from east to west they will lament an ascending sun descendant you are tame when you pray yes you are it won't stop her reign she will rise the fire won't stop burning it feeds itself within itself
7.
Slow down your speedy daughter the pokes and the jolts turned her eyes to fire you know it finally killed her when they threw her into the water the child bride couldn't handle calculations so he mixed up her final solution and he put her to sleep slow down your speedy daughter she's gonna let some bad man get her don't let him get her what are you saying? what are you thinking? when I first met her she came bursting into the shop I could hear the music shooting from her earphones I could hear the smack of her expectation he said, have you ever met a girl like that? oh yes, I said, I've seen hundreds of them, and it all ends the same slow down your speedy daughter she's gonna let some bad thing get her don't let it get her she's so pretty on the outside baby but she could mean so much more to me she just got the wrong kind of attention slow down my speedy daughter you don't have to seek out the fire you don't have to grovel in the sawdust
8.
She was a comedian she cast spells by blinking her eyes she could do it by shaking her hands x’s are the eyes of the railroad tracks she was a bad teacher couldn't charm a passing train she only had love for beginners x’s are the eyes of the railroad tracks you lucky pachyderm you follow wherever she goes follow fallen follow fallen x’s are the eyes of the railroad tracks she was a comedian but she didn't make me laugh.
9.

In good news the ailment’s not illusory we adults were all once babies let’s beat our heads against the wall fear is not my favorite emotion this is not the way can’t be the way filter through the clutter for something left inside why’s it got to be so fucking hot her mind’s a blur her life’s a blur it’s all a blur falling from grace at a time in a place I feel the cold window on my nose in good news the state’s illusory dimes and nickels save you from nothing if you can’t stand than you can crawl when you get tired tell them no no no

about

Genius Fatigue is 37 minutes bursting with ideas. Punk rock, new wave, power pop, no wave breakdowns, experimental ballads, musique concrete, and free jazz solos—it’s all in there, combined with a lyrical prowess that borders on the intimidating.

THOUGHTS OF OTHERS:
‘Genius Fatigue is one of those records that demands to be listened to repeatedly. You have been warned.’ – Drowned In Sound

‘Tunabunny just keeps getting better and better.’ – The Big Takeover

‘By the end of 2013, Tunabunny will be on the cover of the seven publications you’ve heard of, and the other five will have closed down because they didn’t get in fast enough.’ – Everett True, Collapse Board

‘Tunabunny make a noise that is both liberating and fascinating.’ - Allmusic

‘Tunabunny are far from ordinary, and this continues the frankly mind-boggling acceleration of their capabilities….We need a revolution. Maybe, just maybe, Tunabunny are the band to lead the way.’ – The Line of Best Fit

Genius Fatigue, is a swirling mix of handsome vocals and urgent guitar lines that buries itself in your head. – Gold Flake Paint

‘All three Tunabunny records are keepers but Genius Fatigue is something special’ – The Vinyl District

‘Pick up a guitar, a pen, a clue. Five Stars.’ – The Girls Are

‘The latest release from Tunabunny is a damn fine exhibition in pop/rock music. Five stars.’ – The Examiner

‘Tunabunny bring together several strands of contrarian rock through the ages (e.g. The Fall, Pixies, Captain Beefheart, Syd Barrett and Pavement) where an abrasive sound coupled with cryptic lyrics provides a superb combination for musical enlightenment. Highly recommended!!’ – Power of Pop

‘Tunabunny play some of the most genuinely exciting, cool and noisy indie-pop post-punk music you could hope to hear.’ – Soundblab

‘Perhaps once every ten years or so a pop band from the American underground comes through and captures what it means to be living in a certain time and a certain place… Tunabunny is as important to me as all these bands, and with this album they’re destined to delve their way into even more hearts.’ – A Layer of Chips

about

Tunabunny Athens, Georgia

Tunabunny is the missing surname of Madonna, the forgotten first name of Morrissey, and the middle name that Sun Ra’s parents forgot to give him. We are pretty certain that the “T” in T. Rex stood for Tunabunny.

1st two albums will be up on here shortly. And our new Double LP 'PCP Presents Alice In Wonderland Jr' will be out early 2017!
